The Eric C. Michel Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established in memory of Eric, a Bay trip camper and trip guide at Keewaydin Temagami. Independent and self-directed, Eric was a skilled craftsman and carpenter with a passion for helping others, especially the campers for whom he had responsibility. His love of exploration was strengthened by the camaraderie and nurtured by the deep friendships he developed at Keewaydin. This scholarship is intended to help campers in need experience the magic of canoe tripping which enriched Eric’s life. Preference will be given to campers attending Keewaydin Temagami, with a focus on children from First Nation families.
